Rafael is investigating the leakage of CO2 through fracture networks that may be present in cap rocks considering geomechanical and geochemical effects that may alter the individual fracture transmissibility.

Christine is developing and applying new numerical methods that enable us to simulate single and multi-phase flow processes in naturally fractured reservoirs where the fracture properties change as a function of reservoir stresses and pore pressure.
